On the occasion of Children’s Day, we at Utopia Primary School had planned a special assembly followed by a field trip for our lovely children. Children were made aware of the reason behind the celebration of Children’s Day and also that it is the 133rd birth anniversary of Pandit Nehru being celebrated today i.e 14th November 2022.
The assembly started with a short prayer service and each teacher shared her message and prayer for the kids. The message of perseverance was shared by the Principal through an animated movie: Piper, the key message being, “Shine bright like a diamond, and you are beautiful like diamonds in the sky!”
After the special assembly, children were made to board the bus, and our journey to the Forest Research Institute began! Learning at school occurs every single day inside four walls. Field trips are recognized as an important part of learning. Rhymes and Christmas carols were played during the journey and children sang along at the same time showing excitement to reach the venue.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the different museums at the FRI. When a child sees, touches, and smells historical relics and ancient artifacts, he becomes excited to learn about them. We visited the Entomology, Silviculture, and pathology museums. We were happy to see that our kids showed curiosity and asked multiple questions. After the museum visit, the honor of the cake cutting was given to the senior-most class and the children enjoyed the cake and the healthy snacks.
A fun-filled day ended with a game of musical chairs and kho-kho. It indeed was an enriching and wholesome experience for students and teachers alike. 🤗
